Nurse Practitioner

Nurse practitioners are either masters or doctoral level licensed, autonomous clinicians focused on preventing illness and managing patient health conditions. Nurse practitioners can have areas of specialty, such as family medicine or psychiatric/mental health. Nurse Practitioners provide evidence based care through thorough assessment and diagnostic recommendations, utilizing education, medication, and monitoring. In the state of Texas, Nurse Practitioners are independently licensed but required to have a Collaborating Physician relationship.
