with Wright Wellness since 2022

I started my nursing career in 2010 with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Navarro College and subsequently working at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas as a Registered Nurse (RN). Even at the beginning of my career, I was drawn to and had a passion for mental healthcare. I soon transitioned from medical/surgical nursing into the mental health field. I obtained my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing through the University of Texas at Arlington and continued working as an RN in various psychiatric settings, including inpatient hospitals, outpatient programs, and even home health.

In 2021, I graduated with a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Walden University. After 11 years of being an RN, I became an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and a board-certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I have continued to work in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting as such.

As a nurse practitioner, in collaboration with a supervising physician, I am able to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, sleep disorders, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and psychosis. My preferred patient population is adolescents and adults aged 13 and up, though I also have some experience in younger children.

My approach to patient care is to identify and treat individual needs and concerns. My goal is to aid you in overcoming any issues that can impact your mental health, including concerns with sleep, physical activity, nutrition, and interpersonal relationships, as well as medication management. Together we will work on meeting your individual goals by ensuring you have the best tools to do so.
